The Four (or Five or Six) Elements: Connecting with the Building Blocks of Magical Power
When we talk about magic and casting a circle almost everyone knows that the elements refers to the four elements of earth, air, fire, and water. Or do they? This workshop will explore the idea of the elements from different perspectives including different magical traditions, cultures, and even from a perspective of new scientific understanding. This workshop will explore:
-The origins of the 4 elements as they are commonly understood
-Why some include spirit as a 5th element
-Different cultural perspectives on the elements including the Celts, Norse, and Chinese
-How you might incorporate new scientific understanding into your magic
-Ways to connect with the elements (no matter how you define them)
-This workshop will also incorporate exercises to explore the elements in greater depth through invoking, feeling, and intuiting them.
