ABOUT THIS WEBINAR:

IMAGE CRITIQUE THEME: Your Artistic Intent (All Skill Levels)

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM: Experiencing Nature versus Just Seeing Nature is what brings us as human beings to truly cherish it. By paying attention to our five human senses; vision, hearing, touch, smell and taste and to our six psychological/artistic senses; feeling, awareness, contrast, mystery, beauty, and simplicity, our photographs can start to match our awe and love for the natural world and share those feelings with those who view our images.

At some point in the progression of becoming an artist, and more specifically a photographer, we understand that seeing and documenting subject matter is not enough no matter technically proficient one is. At some point we realize we need more than just technical skill to make images that offer the viewer feeling and inspiration

TO SUBMIT A NATURE IMAGE: Your Artistic Intent, Image Sizing: reduce all images to Resolution of 72, and, for horizontal images 1440 pixels wide. For vertical images 930 pixels high. RE-TITLE your image: “1 First initial and last name, Title” Then submit to:

PRESENTER

Hank teaches photography workshops and seminars and leads photo tours for various entities. Workshop information is available by emailing Hank at hankphoto@sbcglobal.net.

Hank Erdmann resides in Will County Illinois. He has photographed throughout North America, making the Midwest his primary geographic area of interest. A love of history, especially the maritime history of the great Lakes, kindles a special interest in the ports, shorelines, islands, and natural areas of Lakes Michigan and superior and their surrounding environs.

“My photographs are an extension of excitement and joy at seeing a fleeting moment when nature takes light and through color, form, line and texture creates an image that leaves an impression in my mind. Occasionally, I am fortunate to record such images on file. Man’s involvement with nature sometimes can cause striking images as well. I photograph scenes that show man’s enjoyment of nature, his striking images as well, his sharing and use of it, has abuse of it, and nature’s effects on manmade objects. I try to capture a piece of reality, a moment in the history of a subject.
