1. The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival
The 52nd Annual Ohio Sauerkraut Festival will be held this weekend, October 8 & 9 in historic Waynesville. This two-day event has an eclectic mix of arts and crafts, sauerkraut served in many traditional and non-traditional ways, such as Reubens, Cabbage Rolls, Sauerkraut Pizza, sauerkraut brownies, and much more. With this perfect, cool fall weather, you do not want to miss this popular event!
2. Yellow Springs Street Fair
After a 2-year hiatus, the Yellow Springs Street Fair is back this Saturday 9am-5pm - featuring two music stages, a beer garden, live street performers, over 200 vendors, and a multitude of shops and restaurants in the beautiful village of Yellow Springs.
3. World War I Dawn Patrol Rendezvous
World War I Dawn Patrol Rendezvous is a two-day flying event of authentic and replica World War I aircraft this weekend at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force
4. First Friday Downtown & Front Street
It's First Friday throughout downtown Dayton! See First Friday: Festive Fall Edition for all the details. Art Hops at Front Street is between 5-9pm with art demos, food trucks, art exhibitions, workshops, and artist talks. While at Front Street, be sure to check out the "HeART For Ukraine" Exhibit/Fundraiser - Art Exhibit and Fundraiser for Ukraine at the ARTery Gallery features over 25 works available. 100% of all funds raised are going to feed the hungry in Ukraine.
5. Rockin’ The River
Saturday 6-10pm - Headlined by The Ultimate Garth Brooks Tribute, Rockin' the River In West Carrollton will also feature food trucks, an American flag skydive and a pyro fireworks show.
6. Charlie Parker’s Yardbird
Dayton Performing Arts Alliance presents the Dayton Opera regional premiere of Charlie Parker’s Yardbird. Performances of Yardbird are Friday, October 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 9 at 2:30 p.m. at the Schuster Center, downtown Dayton.
7. Apple Butter Festival
Saturday and Sunday - Enjoy the pleasant aroma of cooking apples, spices, and wood smoke at the Apple Butter Festival, where everything still revolves around apple butter!
8. DLT Oktoberfest
Celebration of authentic German food, music and beverages at the Dayton Liederkranz-Turner - Oktoberfest on Saturday night 5-11pm.
9. Barktoberfest
Barktoberfest includes a pooch parade, special contests, awards, pet vendors, an epic wiener dog race, and the community favorite: costume contest and pooch pageant!
10. Bites in the Heights
"Bites in the Heights" at Rose Music Center in Huber Heights featuring several food trucks, dishing out a variety of delicacies, children's activities, a cruise-in car show, and a movie screening of Maleficent.
