Dinosaur Train Live!
When I was a kid, The Muppets were huge around my house. I remember never missing a Saturday show with my dad and brothers. Dad loved the old hecklers, Statler & Waldorf, and he did a mean imitation of Beaker.
My favorites were Animal, the big fuzzy monsters and Kermit. I loved that little green frog.
So much so that in sixth grade, I sang "It's Not Easy Being Green" in our school talent show. I didn't win, but I didn't care. Even at that young age, I could relate to the message of that song. Powerful stuff.
Along with the Muppets, my brothers and I were huge fans of Sesame Street, too. Super Grover makes me laugh still today.
So when I had my kids, I introduced them to the wonders of Jim Henson. I can't even tell you how many times we watched Oscar and the members of Stomp teach kids how to understand rhythm in "Let's Make Music" or Taye Diggs teach Elmo how to drive (That one might have been more for mom than the kids. ;) )
Jim Henson and his amazing puppets were central to many of the lessons I learned and then taught my kids. Now you can give your kids an up close experience with Henson's incredible Dinosaur Train – LIVE! at the Victoria Theatre.
DINOSAUR TRAIN – LIVE! BUDDY'S BIG ADVENTURE will bring the beloved stars of the hit PBS series to your hometown for the first time.
