You Can't Take It With You

Opens at Carroll High School; Students portray this classic comedy 

Dayton, Ohio - You Can’t Take It With You, but you can take a seat at Archbishop Carroll High School’s fall play.  Carroll’s Freedom Players will perform this classic comedy on  November 10th at 7pm, 11th at 7pm, and 12th at 2pm.  Presented by arrangement with Dramatists Play Service Inc. and written by Moss Hart and George S Kaufman in 1936, this classic tale is pure joy from start to finish. The play portrays the eccentric Sycamore family that lives life the way they want to live it, on their own terms. But when young Alice Sycamore becomes engaged to her company’s Vice President Tony Kirby, the Sycamore clan must straighten up to meet the new in-laws. Disaster ensues when the Kirbys arrive at the wrong time and, despite the best laid plans, see Alice’s family in all of its crazy glory.

Shows start at 7 pm on Friday and Saturday, and a delicious themed luncheon at noon on Sunday followed by the show at 2 pm. 

The Carroll Freedom Players are directed by Mrs. Toni Weitz and led by a talented group of Carroll students.

Sunday Luncheon:

On Sunday, November 12th, patrons can enjoy a Luncheon before the show. Dinner is served at 12:30 pm and the show starts at 2pm.  Reserved seating is required for lunch.  Entire tables are available for purchase.

Concessions:

Food and drink are available for purchase before the show and at intermission.

Tickets:

Tickets can be purchased online, at the school office, call (937) 253-8188 x329, or at the door.  Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and senior citizens.  Luncheon Tickets (which includes admission to the play) are $20 each. A table of 8 guests will cost $150.  Reservations are required for the Luncheon.
