Dayton Live Half-Day Summer Camps
At Dayton Live, we know that planning fun summer activities looks a little different this year. We also know that both parents and students alike are ready to experience something fun. That’s why we’ve created specially adapted summer programming for students AND parents! We are thrilled to introduce you to our Summer 2020 Half-Day Camp options for students in 4th-8th grades and their parents (“Parent Day Camp”)!
These camps will take place in the PNC Arts Annex, where families can expect a safely distanced, open, and fun environment. Dayton Live staff have committed to following Governor DeWine’s mandatory practices for youth day camps.
POP-UP PUPPET CAMP! WEEK 1
July 13-17, 2020 | 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Designed with social distance in mind, campers will construct their own pop-up puppet theatres, create their own puppet characters, and write original scripts in this half-day camp. For rising 4th & 5th graders. More information
CAMP UNSCRIPTED!
July 13-17, 2020 | 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Nothing is off the table in this zany half-day camp that will highlight games that challenge the camper’s ability to think on their feet, make fun choices, and master the skill of listening. For rising 6th-8th graders. More information
POP-UP PUPPET CAMP! WEEK 2
July 20-24, 2020 | 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
This is a repeat of POP-UP PUPPET CAMP! WEEK 1. Designed with social distance in mind, campers will construct their own pop-up puppet theatres, create their own puppet characters, and write original scripts in this half-day camp. For rising 4th & 5th graders. More information
COMEDY CAMP!
July 20-24, 2020 | 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
With social distancing in mind, campers will learn techniques in physical comedy, the “dramatic death,” clowning, stand-up comedy, cartoon world rules, and much more in this half-day camp. For rising 6th-8th graders. More information
Camps are $149 for student only or $199 for student + parent.
