The River Run Mural, which is expected to be painted this summer, will enhance the downtown riverfront’s beauty and serve as a backdrop for the RiverScape River Run project. Tell us what you think about the four design finalists.

We want your feedback!
Tell us what you think of the designs below with a number rating on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 is best) and a comment through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29. While this isn't an official vote*, your feedback will be reviewed by the design selection committee before they select the winning design.

What is the River Run Mural?
With assistance from the Dayton Visual Art Center (DVAC), the Downtown Dayton Partnership, Miami Conservancy District and Five Rivers MetroParks led the search for artists and designers to submit ideas to be painted on the 953-foot-long concrete floodwall on the north side of the Great Miami River.

The River Run mural project is made possible through the support of the CareSource Foundation, the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission and Cox Media Group Ohio. Visit www.downtowndayton.org for more information.

Who are the finalists?
From more than 80 submissions from throughout the country, four were selected: Michael Anderson from Belleville, Illinois, Amy Deal from Oakwood, Ohio, Christian Larson from Dayton, Ohio, and Geoffrey Smith from Kettering, Ohio.

*NOTE: Online feedback will be shared with the River Run Mural Design Selection Committee. The feedback provided on Dayton.com does not serve as an official vote and will not be the only factor considered by the committee in selecting the winning design.

The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission has approved an $82,500 grant for this project, contingent upon funds being released by the state Controlling Board.
