Spring is almost here. For all those runners (and walkers!) out there, it's time to put your running shoes on, and run for a cause or just because. Below is a list of local runs this March that could benefit your local area, or you could do as a family!
March 9
The Key Sports Free 5K in Centerville, Ohio. It's a 9:30am race start, and it's free! All donations will go the Centerville-Washington Park District. Sign up at one of the local running stores on Friday March 8th or at the event, limited to the first 475 people that register in person. No online or mail-in registration for this event. The MHS Key 2 Change 5K will take place in Middletown. This run is sponsored by the Middletown High School Key Club. For more information go to https://www.facebook.com/events/148971891922232/
The Spring Has Sprung Healthy Families 5K will take place in Xenia. It's a 9:00am race start with an 8:45am kids fun run. Sponsored by the Greene County Combined Health District. For more information go to http://www.gcchd.org

The First 4 Miler in Dayton begins at 10:00am. Kick off St. Patrick's Day and the basketball weekend with a 4 mile run in downtown Dayton. The race starts at UD Arena. For more information, go to http://www.keysports.net/events.php

The 5 Mile Run/Walk for Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA) in Fairborn has a 10:30am race start. Presented by the Dayton Barefoot Runners, you can run this race "barefoot" or with shoes, with awards in both categories. Proceeds will benefit MSA research.
The Flying Angel 5K will take place in Anna, Ohio in Shelby County. Proceeds will benefit families with special needs children. For more information go to http://flyingangel5k.shutterfly.com/.
The Harrigan's St. Patrick's Day 5K Charity Run will feature a run through Kettering's neighborhoods, starting and ending at Harrigan's Tavern to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. For more information go to http://www.harrigans5k.com/.

The No Buts About It 5K Run/Walk for Colon Cancer Awareness will take place at the Fairfield Commons Mall in Beavercreek. It is sponsored by the NABI, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness of colorectal cancer. Proceeds will help NABI provide screening colonoscopies for local uninsured residents with economic hardships.
