4 Dayton food festivals return this summer
Summer 2024: Buckle up Dayton, your taste buds are about to embark on a whirlwind culinary adventure. Cheese Fest, Pickle Fest, Pineapple Fest, and Taco & Nacho Fest are BACK!
Summer 2024: Mark Your Calendar For Dayton Food Festivals
Get ready, Dayton gourmands, because Austin Landing and the Miami Valley Restaurant Association (MVRA) are dishing up a boatload of summer fun with the return of four epic food festivals.
Amy Zahora, executive director of the MVRA says the events, held at the beautiful park in the Austin Landing complex, aren't just about the food; they're a celebration of community and a way to support our amazing local restaurants and food trucks. "Our town thrives on the excitement of exploring new flavors and places" said Zahora. " From Cheese to Pickles, Pineapple to Tacos and Nachos, get ready to feast, Dayton!"
Here's the festival schedule:
May 25th: Kick off summer with Cheese Fest! Over 15 vendors will tempt your palate with gooey delights, while live music melts your stress away. As the sun sets, a dazzling fireworks show will ignite the sky, leaving you starry-eyed (and maybe a little cheesy).
June 29th: Remember the Pickle Fest that swept Dayton off its dill two years ago? It's back for a tangy third helping! Festivalgoers can expect everything from deep-fried pickles to pickle egg rolls, pickle popsicles, and more.
July 27th: Get your tropical fix at the Pineapple Fest, where this sunshine-hued fruit takes center stage! From foods that'll make your taste buds do the hula to drinks that are juicier than a pineapple under the Hawaiian sun, sway to island beats, and watch fire dancers light up the night. This festival is summer fun personified.
August 24th: Spice up your life at the Taco & Nacho Fest! This fiesta of flavor will tantalize your taste buds with sizzling tacos, nacho creations that defy imagination, and live music hotter than a habanero. Plus, local artisans will be showcasing their crafts, making it a feast for all senses.
So mark your calendars, Dayton! This summer, Austin Landing is transforming into a foodie paradise; consider yourself invited!
