Dayton Metro Library Invites Creative Expression This Summer
As part of Dayton Metro Library’s Summer Challenge, area teens are invited to enter a Teen Creativity Contest, now through August 1. Entries may be art, music, video, writing, photography, dance - any form of creative expression that can be submitted digitally.
“We know teens have a lot to say, and creative ways to say it,” said Steve Moser, Teen Services Coordinator for the Library. “We really want to encourage artistic expression, because teens are experiencing current events, especially the COVID-19 pandemic and the fight for racial justice, through their own unique lens. We’ll accept entries in any digital format, due to the variety of options the entries could be.”
The contest is open to all teens in grades 7-12 living or attending school in Montgomery County. All entries must be submitted via email to contest@DaytonMetroLibrary.org. One entry is allowed per person. Email must include the following: name, phone number, grade, school, and title of work. Winners will receive Amazon Gift Card prizes sent out the week of September 1, 2020.
Questions should be emailed to Teen Services Coordinator Steve Moser at SMoser@DaytonMetroLibrary.org.
