Grammy-Nominated Children's Performer at the Main Library
On Saturday, January 25, the Dayton Metro Library’s Eichelberger Forum will become “Zakland” – where anything is possible with music and imagination! Grammy-nominated musician Zak Morgan’s program, “Welcome to Zakland,” invites children grades 4 and younger to use their imaginations and believe in themselves. The free event takes place 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Main Library, 215 E. Third Street, in downtown Dayton.
“Zak’s performances are lively, silly and fun, and his songs encourage reading and imagination,” said Julie Buchanan, Programming Manager. “He’s also good at getting parents to have as much fun as their kids.”
Morgan lives in Cincinnati, where he grew up and continues to write, record, and perform concerts and creative writing residencies for children and families across the country. His second album, “When Bullfrogs Croak,” received a GRAMMY nomination in 2004.
