Free Halloween Fun in Dayton
Dayton's Department of Recreation presents two free-admission Halloween events packed with family fun.
Halloweek of Movies presents screenings of five films, all at the Greater Dayton Recreation Center (2021 W. Third St.) at 6:30 p.m.:
Ghostbusters (Monday, Oct. 24); Ghostbusters II (Tuesday, Oct. 25); Casper (Wednesday, Oct. 26); Hocus Pocus (Thursday, Oct. 27); and Hocus Pocus 2 (Friday, Oct. 28).
On Monday, Oct. 31, Dayton's favorite trick-or-treat alternative returns. Fall Harvest is a drive-thru, rain-or-shine event offering treats and scary sights along a decorated lane. One or more children must be present in a vehicle to receive candy treats.
Vehicle line-up occurs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. along North Bend Boulevard (enter from Helena Street). The event continues until 8 p.m., while candy supplies last.
