Family Fun on the Farm

Spring has sprung and summer is right around the corner.  Like most families, when the weather finally breaks, you start looking for the most fun and most affordable ways to spend your time together outdoors. 

 

My family recently took a trip to Young’s Jersey Dairy on a beautiful Wednesday evening.  At Young’s there is something for everyone.  In only 2 short hours my family and I were able to enjoy almost everything there was to do before my sweet baby decided it was time to go.  Anyone with a small child knows exactly what I mean by that ;)  

 

We were able to hit a bucket of balls and go a couple rounds in the batting cages.  We enjoyed a peaceful walk over to the main building for some delicious ice cream.  One of the great things about Young's Dairy is you are able to pack a small lunch if you would like to save a couple bucks.  

 

After we filled our bellies and looked around at the charming gift shop we finalized our trip by visiting the petting zoo.  My children love feeding the goats and calves.  Then, right before we decided to walk back to our van, we took a few minutes to play on the tractors and tires they had set up like a jungle gym. We even got a silly picture in one of the painted cut outs you stick your heads through. 

 

The simplistic beauty of Young’s is that it takes all the things some of us remember from growing up on a farm and offer them to the public free of charge in a world where almost nothing is free. 

 

One of the reasons I most enjoy showing support to Young’s Dairy Farm is that I know they show their support to so many in our community.  Whether it is their well organized fundraisers or just the family fun they offer complimentary to the public. 

 

This is just one of my families’ favorite places to visit.  For less then $20 our family of four had a blast!!  Whether you spend the whole day or just a couple hours we hope you and yours have the chance to go create your own fun filled memories with Young’s Dairy soon.
