Walquist Family benefit at Jimmie's Ladder 11
Brett Thomas Walquist, age 41 of Beavercreek, lost his life protecting his family from an armed robber who broke into their vacation home in Puerto Rico last December. A Family Benefit has been organized for Friday, February 7th, 2014 at Jimmies Ladder 11 from 9pm - 1am. 15% of the proceeds will go to the Walquist Family Fund.
A Night of Acoustic Pop and Jazz (instrumental and vocals)
• February 7th 9:00 pm - 1:00 am
• Group: Omega-3 & Co.
• During that time 15% of all food and drink sales will be donated to the Walquist Family Fund
The money raised will mostly be used for his son and daughter’s college educations.

Brett Thomas Walquist, age 41, of Beavercreek, OH, formerly of Byron Center, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 30, 2013. Brett was a loving and wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend. Brett enjoyed coaching basketball and throwing the football with Thomas. He also loved playing golf with Rachel and the family. He took pride in being a father and raising his children with Gerry. Brett shared with his family a love of Michigan Football. They visited places like the Great Smokey Mountains, The Big House and Walt Disney World regularly. He enjoyed motorcycling, scuba diving and collecting and shooting guns. Brett was a sales rep in the bicycle industry and enjoyed the relationships he built.
