Woof Woof! SICSA's 50th Anniversary Community Celebration is June 23rd
Calling all animal lovers! SICSA Pet Adoption and Wellness Center is turning 50, and they're throwing a pawty to celebrate! Mark your calendars for June 23rd from 11 AM to 3 PM for a fun-filled afternoon at their shelter in Washington Township.
“We are so proud of this milestone. To be a resource to the community for half a century is quite an honor and we hope we have the privilege of doing it for another 50 years,” said Jack Omer, SICSA’s President and CEO. “SICSA started as a grassroots organization, so we are excited to host this event at our building and celebrate our anniversary in a very community-minded, family friendly way.”
This free, family-friendly event promises something for everyone. Chow down at yummy food trucks, quench your thirst with craft beer and seltzer from Warped Wing Brewery, and browse unique finds from local vendors. The little ones will have a blast in the dedicated kids' zone with face painting, animal-themed activities, and even adorable stuffed animal "adoptions."
But the real stars of the show are, of course, SICSA's furry (and feathery!) residents. Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the shelter and learn all about how SICSA cares for animals in need. There'll also be information available on fostering, volunteering, and other ways you can get involved with this incredible organization.
Can't make it without your furry companion? While this event isn't pet-friendly to ensure the safety of all animals involved, there are still ways to show your support! Bring along pet item donations to help stock SICSA's vans, and discover how you can make a difference in the lives of animals.

Adoptions taking place on Sunday, June 23rd are by appointment only, no walk-in appointments will be available.
