49 new U.S. Citizens from 28 countries took the Oath of Citizenship at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio in Dayton yesterday. Congratulations to all!

New Americans Take Oath of Citizenship at Naturalization Ceremony in Dayton

Yesterday, the Federal Building in Dayton buzzed with excitement as 49 individuals from 28 countries took the Oath of Allegiance, officially becoming United States citizens. Judge Caroline H. Gentry of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio presided over the inspiring Naturalization Ceremony, marking a significant milestone for these new Americans.

The diverse group hailed from across the globe, representing a rich tapestry of cultures and experiences. The countries of origin included: Algeria, Argentina, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, Congo, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Haiti, Iraq, Jamaica, Jordan, Kosovo, Mexico, Moldova, Nigeria, Philippines, Russia, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Turkey, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, and Vietnam.

This heartwarming event, celebrated by Welcome Dayton and the City of Dayton, highlights the strength and diversity of our community. We extend our warmest congratulations to all the new citizens and welcome them to their new chapter in Dayton!
