Greater Dayton RTA Drivers STRIKE
All fixed route bus services have ceased operation. RTA's Facebook page reports that some riders are confused because their Transit app is still showing bus times. If you normally use RTA to get to work, school, or move around the city, you need to find alternate transportation until the strike ends.
Possible Alternatives:
- Walk
- Cycle
- Carpool
- Miami Valley Rideshare: Drivers can help by signing up.
- Cab - Uber - Lyft
If you’re moving around in Downtown Dayton, Link Dayton Ohio Bike Share is an option. Offering several pick and drop off points around the city makes travel within downtown quick and easy. Link Bikes are intended for short trips of 30 minutes or less. Return them to a Link station rather than keeping them with you all day.
Project Mobility Users Only: RTA will provide limited services to eligible customers traveling for medical care to and/or from medical facilities Monday through Saturday between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm during the strike. RTA’s Call Center only accepts next day trip requests between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm, Sunday through Friday at (937) 425-8300. Make your requests early, capacity is limited.
