DML’s Northmont Branch Prepares to Move
The current location of the Dayton Metro Library Northmont Branch Library, 333 West National Road, will close its doors to the public for the last time on Saturday, November 26, at 6 pm.
The NEW Northmont Branch will be located just down the road from its current location at 700 West National Road, Englewood. It will open to the public on Saturday, January 7, at 10 am. Regular Library hours begin Monday, January 9.
The opening of DML’s newest Branch is a result of the Library’s facilities project, Libraries for a Smarter Future. This project stems from a $187 million bond issue passed by Montgomery County voters in 2012, which has allowed the Library to update or renovate all of its Branches and its Operations Center downtown. One final facility remains in the project: Huber Heights’ new Branch, opening tentatively in the Spring 2023.
While the current Northmont Branch is closed, patrons are invited to visit the Vandalia Branch Library at 330 South Dixie Drive. For more information about the new Northmont Branch, visit DaytonMetroLibrary.org or call the Library’s Ask Me Line at 937.463.2665.
