Community Invited to Help Define Dayton's Unique Identity

Daytonians are invited to share their vision for the city's future in a new community input campaign, 'Definitely Dayton.

Public input wanted to help plan Downtown Dayton’s future

Members of the community are invited to help identify what makes Dayton unique through a new community input campaign. Greater Dayton area residents, employees, frequent guests, and even first-time visitors are invited to help with the first step in developing a plan for Dayton’s future by sharing their feedback now through January 29. The campaign is a collaboration between the Downtown Dayton Partnership, BLDG, and businesses across the community.

“This initiative is going to allow us to tell Dayton’s story in our own words,” said Katie Meyer, president of the Downtown Dayton Partnership. “We want to hear from everyone about what makes downtown special and what we should all be prioritizing to strengthen our community. Everyone’s voice is important in this effort.”

The Definitely Dayton campaign is a street-team approach to gather community input to help shape the future of Downtown Dayton. All community members are invited to share what they think makes Downtown Dayton stand out from other metros nationwide and how we as a community can work together to make it even better. Feedback will be accepted through an online portal as well as at physical comment boxes located in businesses in and around downtown.

Public comments will be accepted January 15-29, 2025. All respondents will be entered into a drawing for $100 Downtown Dollars.

More information about the campaign is available at downtowndayton.org/tellus.
