Celebrate: DML’s [PRIDE is 365] Teen Pride Prom
Dayton Metro Library will celebrate PRIDE by hosting a Teen Pride Prom at the Main Library, Saturday, April 22, from 5:30-9 pm. LGBTQIA2S+ high schoolers and allies are invited to attend this free, after hours event.
Prom-goers can enjoy an evening of dancing, crafts, food, and other activities, including learning about resources that are available from DML’s community partners who support LGBTQIA2S+ and have helped make Teen Pride Prom possible: Q+ Health Alliance, Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio Region, The Rubi Girls, and PFLAG Dayton.
Attendees are encouraged to dress to express their identity. Changing areas will be available at 5 pm, if needed. To attend the prom, teens must be in grades 9-12 and have completed a permission slip (digital or paper).
