Lighting up Oakwood & Holiday of Lights

The City of Oakwood, with assistance from the Oakwood Beautification Committee, is “LIGHTING UP” Oakwood with luminarias on Sunday, December 8 beginning at 6 p.m. Residents are invited to put luminarias out in front of their house and to consider participating with their neighbors.  Then at 6:30 p.m., bring your family to Shafor Park for an evening of community fellowship with lights, songs and refreshments, and as always … a visit from Santa Claus! Also enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides along Shafor Blvd to see the beautifully lit night!

This event takes place outside, so dress for the weather.

Holiday of Lights Festival in Oakwood is taking place at Shafor Park, which is located at Collingwood Ave. and Shafor Blvd in Oakwood. Shafor Park - Oakwood's largest recreation complex includes 3.3 acres of playground, a small ballfield, a half basketball court, six tennis courts, and an outdoor pool.
