FREE sandwiches for a year at Primanti Bros. Opening Day
The new Primanti Bros. restaurant, located in Beavercreek next to the newly opened IHOP, will host a promotion on opening-day, giving "free sandwiches for a year" to the first 100 people in line. The restaurant expects to be fully open by mid-to-late afternoon on April 13.
Primanti Bros, a popular chain in the Pittsburgh area, is known for its signature, “Almost Famous” sandwich. So what is the "Almost Famous" sandwich? It sounds pretty hard core. Loaded with the meat of your choice, cheese, fries (yes, that would be french fries), and topped with a generous serving of tart coleslaw and slices of tomato on Italian bread. Hungry anyone?
Our first encounter with Primanti Brothers occurred in 2014 on an East Coast road trip that blended historical sites with interesting food destinations. Primanti Brothers was on our hit list, and we dined at the original restaurant which has been located in the Strip District since 1933.
It's no exaggeration, the sandwiches are huge, and are topped with a mound of slaw and French fries. It may sound a bit unusual, but they taste absolutely amazing. We enjoyed it so much, that we had to stop by again on our way back to Ohio. We are truly excited to have them in Beavercreek!!!!
The sandwiches we recommend:
- Pastrami & Cheese
- The Colossal Fish Sandwich
- Deluxe Double Egg & Cheese
The Beavercreek restaurant will be the second Primanti Bros. location in Ohio, behind Boardman, OH which opened last September. A third Ohio location in Niles, OH is due to open by July this year. The restaurant chain also operates restaurants in Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
