El Meson Celebrates 40th Anniversary
Over four decades and with the help of three generations, El Meson, the popular local restaurant that started out as the humble "Pizza Queen" in 1978, will celebrate their 40th anniversary on Friday, July 20 and Saturday, July 21, 2018.
“To operate as an independent business, it takes the help of everyone. From the management, kitchen staff, front-of-house and of course, the wonderful customers who keep coming back year after year,” Bill Castro, owner of El Meson said. “Forty years is a big milestone so we wanted to celebrate with all of our friends and family who’ve made us who we are today.”
To mark this milestone, El Meson is celebrating with a packed anniversary weekend celebration. Taking place over two days, there will be street food, drink specials, food trucks, dancing and tons of fun outdoors under the big tent with live music on Friday from Ithika and Nothing But Treble and Saturday from Funky G & The Groove Machine and Nasty Bingo.
“In addition to Latin Street Food and drinks from out of our trucks in the lot, we’re going to have one truck that serving items from the original Pizza Queen restaurant that El Meson began as back in 1978,” Castro said. “Some of our customers may remember favorites like the Exotic Burrito and Mexican Pizza from that menu.”
There will be live music from 4:30 - 11pm both days!
We're equipped with a giant tent that the bands are playing under, outdoor heaters, indoor spaces, and Tequila!
Food Trucks
We'll have our fleet of food trucks on site serving up a variety of El Meson favorites and specials!
V.I.P. Tickets
Want to celebrate our Anniversary in style? Consider purchasing one of our limited V.I.P patio seats for just $35 on Friday or Saturday. This area will be limited and give you access to a less crowded area, servers, and a great view of the bands. We are not accepting reservations for the restaurant this weekend and this will be the only reserved seating available. Please let us know if you would like to be sat with another party in the V.I.P. Area
