Mark your calendars, space cadets and astronomy enthusiasts! Brace yourselves for a celestial spectacle and an out-of-this-world event at the National Air Force Museum's Solar Eclipse Day, happening on April 8th from 10 am to 4 pm.
Witness the moon do a cosmic high-five with the sun, plunging the world into darkness for a breathtaking 2 minutes and 43 seconds. But fear not, cloudy skies won't ground your experience! The museum has your back with live feeds of the eclipse on giant screens, ensuring you catch all the action, rain or shine.
But this isn't just a passive stargazing session. This is an interactive odyssey! Get your hands dirty with fun, educational activities:
- Become a moon maestro: Craft your own moon phase calendar and calculator, or model a mini-eclipse.
- Channel your inner astronomer: Learn the secrets of lunar eclipses and peek into the universe with a DIY pinhole camera.
