Boonshoft Museum Hosts Colorama, the Latest Exciting Super Science Sat
DAYTON, OHIO – JULY 20, 2018 – Join us at the Boonshoft Museum and discover the enjoyment of science! On Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery presents another fun Super Science Saturday. Themed Colorama, the focus of the day explores the wonderful world of color!
As students prepare to head back into the classroom, give them a boost with this day full of learning about color. Discover why leaves change color before falling from the trees, explore what colors can tell us about chemical reactions, and even learn how different cultures from around the world have been inspired by the colors found in nature.
The Boonshoft Museum is dedicated to providing Dayton area residents with science-focused programming and fun for the entire family. Each year, the Museum hosts four dates that offer FREE admission from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. These special learning days include access to our Special Exhibitions, Space Theater Shows (limited seating available), and public programming. The next Super Science Saturday of 2018 is Saturday, November 17.
Get a little, give a little… In honor of this free day, the Museum will accept school supply donations for Crayons to Classrooms during Super Science Saturday. Help a student in need and start the year off on the right foot by donating new pens, pencils, notebook paper, scissors, art supplies, and more!
“Kids get a real kick out of the many thought-provoking games and activities presented at Super Science Saturday,” said Boonshoft Museum of Discovery V.P. of Education Dawn Kirchner. “Their young minds become lost in discovery as their natural curiosity guides them from experience to experience.”
Regular Museum programming continues as scheduled. Discovery Zoo Animal ambassadors will tour the building, greeting guests throughout the day.
All of this fun and science can make visitors hungry, and food-truck vendors will be standing at the ready to cater to the appetites of science and nature lovers at reasonable prices.
