Horvath 2022
Please join the University of Dayton Department of Art and Design on Wednesday April 20th from 4:30 to 7:00 pm for a reception at Radial Gallery on the campus of the University of Dayton for the Annual Horvath Exhibition. Visitors will have the opportunity to view work from students in the Department of Art and Design which have been juried by Matt Young.
Matt Young is a local arts educator and graduate of Capital University. Matt has a BFA in Fine Art and a Masters in Education. Currently he teaches Ceramics, Sculpture, Metals, Computer Graphics, and AP art. He also serves as the department chairperson and president of the Ohio Art Education Association. He believes that student success is created through meaningful relationships and connecting art work to real life experiences. Matt is a noted speaker and has presented at the NAEA Convention, for The Art of Education, and various other educational conferences around the country. In addition, he has written articles for Davis Publications, NAEA, The Art of Education, and the Ohio Department of Education. Awards will be announced during the reception, beginning at 5:15 including the Horvath Award for Realism and Best in Design.
The exhibition is on view from Thursday April 7th through April 29th.
The reception will be held April 20th from 4:30 to 7:00 pm in Radial Gallery, Fitz Hall
Regular Gallery hours are:
Monday-Thursday, 9 am – 4 pm
Friday, 9 am – 2 pm
On April 20th, there will be parking available in S1 all day and D lot after 4 p.m. Limited guest parking passes are available at the visitor center in P, C, and B lots. Outside of reception hours visitors may obtain a parking permit from the parking attendant located inside the main entrance of Fitz Hall..
