In "Water - Abstracted", Christine Klinger presents some of the ways she explores one of her favorite subjects. She considers how we take water for granted, treat it, enjoy it and seek to improve it. An artist reception, open to the public, is scheduled 5 - 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at the gallery, 115 Wright Station Way. The show runs through Nov. 25. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with some extended hours on evenings and weekends or by appointment by calling 937-748-5774.
Gallery Coordinator at Rosewood Arts Center in Kettering for ten years, Christine has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Antioch College and a master’s degree in photojournalism from Ohio University. She does fine art photography and has written and photographed for publications since 1980. She worked in clay sculpture for many years and received a Visual Artist Fellowship in Sculpture from the Montgomery County (OH) Arts & Cultural District for 2009/2010. Christine has taught photography, sculpture and painting at community art centers and colleges in South Carolina, California and Ohio, including Antioch College.
