Please join the University of Dayton Department of Art and Design on Thursday November 14th from 5 to 7 pm for a reception at the Roger Glass Center for the Arts Gallery on the campus of the University of Dayton for the CARVE FOREVER!: by Sean StarWars. The exhibition will feature a large installation of world famous printmaker, Sean StarWars’ work from over the years.
Sean Star Wars lives in Laurel, Mississippi with his wife and five children. Sean earned his MFA in Printmaking from Louisiana State University. In addition to making woodcuts for over Thirty years, Sean has been an Adjunct Professor, a janitor and a used car salesman. Sean currently works full time as a printmaker and he makes about a dozen visiting artist appearances a year at many of the nations’ leading art programs. Sean is a proud member of the legendary Outlaw Printmakers and his work is in numerous public and private collections. Star Wars’ work can be seen on book covers, album covers, magazines, television programs, films and commercials. He is currently embarking on his most challenging project ever, a woodcut a week “FOR LIFE”. Sean drinks more Mountain Dew than anyone who has ever lived and he can beat you at Ms.Pacman.
The exhibition is on view from Thursday November 14th through December 8th.
The reception will be held November 14th from 5-7 pm in The Roger Glass Center for the Arts Gallery

On November 14th, there will be parking available in S1 and D lot after 4:30 p.m. Limited guest parking passes available at the visitor center in P, C, and B lots. Outside of reception hours visitors may obtain
