11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Eaton Bark Park
701 Park Ave., Eaton, OH 45320
Join YWCA Dayton’s Preble County Office during Domestic Violence Awareness Month for an afternoon of family-friendly fun with fur-riends. Show off your pet for this sixth annual signature fundraiser benefiting Preble County’s only domestic violence shelter and 24/7 crisis hotline.
This year, we’re bringing back a month-long online pet photo contest leading up to our in-person event! Participants will be able to submit photos of their furry (or scaly) family members for the chance to compete for our online “Influencer Award.” Vote all month and then celebrate in person on Oct. 16. The pet with the most votes online will be announced during our Purple Paws Pet Showcase along with other award winners. Awards will be presented for: Influencer, “Twinning” (pet and owner lookalikes), Most “Not Dog,” Best Trick, People’s Choice, and Best In Show.
The in-person event will also feature special guests, food vendors, games, activities for the whole family, and more!
Online Influencer photo contest: $10 per pet to enter; $1 = 1 vote. Voting will be open starting Sept. 20.
Event admission: $10 per person and $5 to register your pet for the Pet Showcase. Kids 17 and under are free.
