A Tribute to Ohio Women in the Military
The Dayton Woman’s Club and Children’s Historical Publishing invite the public to a luncheon event to celebrate Women’s History Month. Join us from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 26 at 225 North Ludlow Street to honor the 2021 women veterans inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame and other women veterans throughout southwest Ohio.
Guest speakers will include Cassie B. Barlow, United States Air Force; Linda Strite Murnane, United States Air Force; Jo N. Wildman, United States Navy & Coast Guard; Wanda Dillard, United States Army & Ohio National Guard; as well as a tribute by Honorable Walter H. Rice, United States District Court Judge.
Attendees will receive a complimentary edition of the new book, Empowered Women: Ohio Women in the Military by Kim Villalva, which addresses the major role of women as a cultural and political force in our nation’s military from the Revolutionary War to the present day.
