Mabon Ceremony & Craft
Known as the Pagan Thanksgiving, Mabon marks the Autumn Equinox, when day and night are equal, making it a time of balance, equality and harmony. Mabon is the truest time of gratitude, a space to give thanks for a bountiful yield from the fields , marking the height of harvest season. It is during this season we will know if our hard work of the year would possibly pay off for the long dark winter days ahead. We will show gratitude and grace to Mama Earth and Father Sun and all that She has provided to us.
Join in a deep reverential ceremony celebrating the Pagan Wheel of the Year. These nature-based celebrations. mark an important passage of all the seasons from the planting of the seed, the welcoming of the sun, harvesting all that we sowed, and the void/impermanence that follows. When we teach ourselves to become attuned to the turning of the seasons we can connect more deeply to Mother Earth as the Divine Feminine, and to Father Sun as the Divine Masculine, too.
Here, we will offer you a chance to experience and participate in community spellwork in a loving and protective environment. We encourage you to be formal, feel free to dress up, adorning yourself to fully honor the divine and offer your deepest reverence.
During this gathering we will:
-Have discussion conversation regarding the energy of the season
-Circle cast, get support from the four directions
-Get creative and crafty… and then use that craft in our community ritual!
-Offer a gift of gratitude to the Divine Feminine & Divine Masculine (*please see note below)
-Build the Pagan Wheel Altar (**please see note below)
-Perform an elaborate ritual and ceremony
*Please bring an offering item from nature as a gift to the Divine Masculine & Feminine! *This item is separate from the altar item.
**Please bring an altar item to represent the energy you are leaning into for the coming season. You are welcome to take the altar item home when we dismantle the altar at the end of the night, end of the season, or you can leave your item as a gift for the temple.
