Candlelight Reading Nights w/ Black In Blooming
Black in Blooming presents Candlelight Reading Nights at the TRG.
Candlelight Reading Night is a BIPOC and queer community event running from 6-9 PM. You’re welcome to drop in anytime during the session. This event is donation-based—pay what you can to support our group gathering.
Bring your own book or just come to rest—we’re creating a soft, calming environment with candlelight gently distributed around the space. Feel free to bring a blanket, cushion, or your favorite comfy folding chair to get extra cozy.
There will be pastries from a local BIPOC baker and tea available for refreshments—nourishment for both body and spirit. We’ll also have a record player spinning old-fashioned vinyl, setting a mellow vibe as we read and rest in community.
If reading doesn’t feel accessible, we’ll have quiet board games like chess and coloring pages available for your enjoyment.
During Candlelight Reading Night, we’ll be holding our BIPOC Queer Book Club from 6–7 PM. If you’d like to join the discussion you can or read on your own.
Check-in is required via the link above to help us keep the space safe and intentional for all.
Come as you are—we can’t wait to see you.
