A Mabon Evening
Join us in the Temple for an evening celebrating Mabon. Mabon is a cross-quarter seasonal celebration according to the Celtic wheel of the year. It is a festival to give thanks for all the things that have nourished you through the summer and will continue to sustain you through the winter. It is at this point in the year that we celebrate the fruitful summer crops, and a bountiful harvest to feed us all through the winter. Each festival is in honor of an important aspect of the season, and for Mabon we celebrate the Autumnal Equinox! We recognize the shifting of the sun… for the first time since spring, the Sun’s light is equal to the dark of night, a pivotal point in the wheel as we turn toward winter.
We will:
-Dine by candlelight
-Share stories in circle
-Light the fire of our manifestations with spell work
-Create our own potpourri bag/simmer stash
-Rebuild our seasonal altar in our shared altar room, together in community
*Please bring something for the altar that embodies the energy of this season* You are welcome to take the altar item home when we dismantle the altar at the end of the season, or you can leave your item as a gift for the temple.
While we will be providing several food dishes to serve, you are welcome to bring a vegetarian side dish, dessert, and/or beverage.
Coffee, water, tea, and wine are provided.
Whether you are in or out of the broom closet, this gathering is for you!
Be on the lookout for each of the eight Celtic seasonal celebrations at the Temple of the Rebel Goddess!
