An Evening with Stephen King - SOLD OUT
UPDATE: The June 9 Stephen King event at Victoria Theatre went on sale at 10 a.m. and sold out within 30 minutes.
Stephen King, author of contemporary horror, supernatural fiction, suspense, science fiction, and fantasy will be making a stop in Dayton this June to promote his new novel End of Watch.
Tickets are limited and will be available for purchase Wednesday, April 13 at 10 a.m. Each ticket guarantees entry to the event, as well as one unsigned hardcover edition of “End of Watch”. Additionally, 400 lucky attendees will randomly receive a pre-signed copy of the novel. King will not be signing bookings during his appearance, according to Books & Co.
End of Watch is an upcoming Stephen King novel, set to be the third volume of a trilogy focusing on Detective Bill Hodges, following Mr. Mercedes and Finders Keepers. To celebrate the release of End of Watch, Stephen King will embark on a book tour this June, during which he will visit several cities across the country, including Dayton on June 9.
Biography:
Stephen King was born in Portland, Maine in 1947, the second son of Donald and Nellie Ruth Pillsbury King. He made his first professional short story sale in 1967 to Startling Mystery Stories. In the fall of 1971, he began teaching high school English classes at Hampden Academy, the public high school in Hampden, Maine. Writing in the evenings and on the weekends, he continued to produce short stories and to work on novels. In the spring of 1973, Doubleday & Co., accepted the novel Carrie for publication, providing him the means to leave teaching and write full-time. He has since published over 50 books and has become one of the world's most successful writers.
Stephen lives in Maine and Florida with his wife, novelist Tabitha King. They are regular contributors to a number of charities including many libraries and have been honored locally for their philanthropic activities.
