Second Look Saturday at the ARTery Gallery
It’s a brand New Year at The ARTery and we’ve got a great new selection of art for Front Street visitors! It starts with our visiting artist for January, Tami Beale, a self-taught artist, who works in oils and features bright colors and layers of texture in her work. She has had her art shown across the US and Canada. Come meet Beale and see how her brushless technique creates a little boldness in everyday life.
Our newest member is Andi Sanders, another bold artist who fell in love with the alcohol ink painting technique and has been working to master it ever since. We can’t wait to show our fans her gorgeous work. Since she has shown such talent with this unique medium, Sanders has been asked to teach throughout the area. A former member of the Bellbrook Artist Collective, Andi is thrilled to be showing her work again at Front Street.
Last, we present our Artist of the Month, Samantha Farkas, whose whimsical watercolors are inspired by flora and fauna. “Color, line, and repetition play a large roll in most of the pieces I create for the Artery. They are often based on a single subject matter and twisted to create a unique design,” says Samantha. Farkas won an honorable mention in the Dublin Area Art League members show and created an eight foot professional chalk mural for Springfield’s Chalkfest. Samantha is also known for her imaginative watercolor of birds.
