Museum Conducts Ghostly History Tours
Fall Ghost Tour dates for Main street & Quaker Hill are Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, October 4th, 6th, 7th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 25th, 27th, and 28th, 2023. Reservations required. The tour is free for children under 12.
The Museum at the Friends Home culls the most fascinating legends & lore to delight visitors of all ages during our Historic Haunts tour of downtown Waynesville and the Quaker Hill area. History buffs will enjoy tales of the 215-year-old Village’s famous and infamous personalities. Each two-hour walk highlights fascinating, historically based legends from the area's unique past based on first and second-hand accounts of experiences that defy explanation. Tour guides will recount some of Waynesville’s favorite legends & lore, some linked to historically based legends from the area and many stories from experiences by the locals.
