Beginner's Yoga series
Join Indigo co-founder, Barb Morsa for an 8 week series designed to lay a strong foundation for practice and quiet the monkey mind through asana, breath awareness and simple mindfulness techniques.
If you are new to yoga or are returning to your mat after some time away, this series if for you. In a compassionate and supportive environment, we will explore yoga’s foundational poses through a progressive 8 week curriculum.
You will learn what yoga is (and what it isn’t) and how it supports physical and emotional well-being. Techniques to build strength, flexibility and to invite relation and stress relief will be explored. Standing, seated, supine and simple inversion poses will be introduced and students will be grounded in the concept of mindful practice.
Learn step-by-step how to engage in a safe and meaningful yoga practice that will serve you in so many ways.
All adult ages, body types and fitness levels are welcome. Mats and props will be supplied. Please pre-register for this class which begins Tuesday, March 4th, 2014 and will continue on Tuesdays from 5:30 – 7 PM. If you miss a class in the series, you can make it up by attending Yoga FUNdamentals on Thursdays at 7:15 pm. Introductory cost for the 8 week series is $108.
