Cacao is an ancient plant medicine that has been used for thousands of years to expand consciousness and open the heart.

In this special Winter Solstice Cacao Ceremony, we will explore where in our lives we can find more freedom, whether this be in our personal lives, our work, relationships, health, mindset, creativity or elsewhere. The beautiful thing about Cacao is that this gentle and grounding medicine will be a guide throughout this process, helping us see those parts of ourselves that are ready to be seen, opened to, loved into wholeness or released. Whatever you are looking to move toward in living more freely, cacao can help you get there.

With an incredible array of active compounds, Cacao is both a deeply healing and spiritual tool as well as a nutritious superfood. It provides deep relaxation, lifts the mood, and helps us root into self-love and acceptance. It’s also full of antioxidants. With a blend of anti-inflammatory properties, it boosts the immune system, supports glucose metabolism as well as lung, brain and heart health (and, it’s great for your skin too!). During this nourishing ceremony, you will be led in a guided meditation by Candace and also have time to share and reflect.

A few things to note: while cacao is psychoactive - meaning it can alter mood and consciousness like coffee or alcohol, it is not psychedelic. You are always in control of your experience when working with cacao.

Please refrain from consuming caffeine within 8 hours of the ceremony, dairy within 5 hours of the ceremony, and eating in general at least 2 hours before the ceremony. If you have a heart condition, are taking antidepressants or anti-anxiety medications, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, reach out to Candace in advance to alter your dose at candace@holdceremony.com.

Supported pricing is available via the honor system in a very limited quantity for those in true need. This option is for folks who would not be able to attend the gathering with standard pricing. Candace Dalmagne-Rouge is a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant, Cacao Practitioner, Reiki Master, and Founder of Ceremony. She is passionate about teaching and walking alongside others as they live into the joy of awakening to their true selves. Candace began this quest in her own right as a young teen diagnosed with a debilitating chronic illness. Looking to avoid surgery, her journey into the holistic arts began. What she wanted to find was physical relief; what she has uncovered over the past 25 years is profound healing for her body, mind and soul. She’s been fortunate to have had many wise teachers, mentors and healers guide her through numerous alternative therapies and healing experiences. Yet a massive part of her journey into true wellbeing came from learning to tap into her own inner wisdom and healing capacities. Today, Candace helps others unlock this ability within themselves. It’s a journey of healing, learning and growing. It's a process of returning to wholeness and recovering missing parts of ourselves. And most of all, it’s embodying higher consciousness to upgrade our human experience, affirm a life of abundance and enjoy pure wellness where the miraculous is not just possible but a reality. Originally from Dayton and now living in the South of France, Candace will be back for the holidays to host this ceremony and is delighted to welcome you there.
