There's really no magic in that, anyone with much sense would be thinking those things. If you truly want to be amazed, see Eric Dittelman perform live at the Victoria Theatre on Friday, February 6 at 7:30 p.m. A mind reader and comedian, Dittelman received national attention as a semi-finalist on season 7 of NBC's "America's Got Talent."
A lifelong fan of magic, Dittelman decided to take a peek behind the curtain and studied the psychology of magic. He took interest in discovering how the mind worked to believe in the seemingly impossible. As a result Dittelman began to explore the art of mind reading and developed the unique skill. Along with his brand of comedy and experience with improve, Dittelman tours the country entertaining audiences.
When approached in public, there's a common question that Dittelman hears. "People always ask me, 'What am I thinking?' I don't claim to be psychic or have any supernatural powers. I just creation situations to pull information from people's minds without them knowing how," said Dittelman.
His appearance on "America's Got Talent," was a big boost to Dittelman's career, as the response from the judges; Howard Stern, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel, plus the viewing audience, exceeded his wildest dreams. "I auditioned on a whim, and would have been happy to just get selected. I never expected to go all the way to the semi-finals. It was a great experience," he said.
In 2013, Dittelman was a guest on "The Ellen Degeneres Show," where he baffled the host with his mind reading skills. Dittelman has also been featured in "Entertainment Weekly," "Rolling Stone," and "The National Enquirer."
Dittelman's shows are very interactive as a number of audience members will find themselves on stage as part of the act. "I need minds in order to read them," he said. Dittelman takes great pleasure in playing off of the volunteers to provide many of the laughs.
Though less visually stimulating than a magic show, Dittelman guarantees amazement by revealing the inner most thoughts of others. "It's a great show for older children and adults who don't get to explore the world of wonder as much anymore," he said.

In 2012, Eric appeared on season 7 of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” where he advanced to the semi-finals, amazing judges Howard Stern, Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne–and wowing audiences. In 2013, Eric again made headlines as a guest on “The Ellen Degeneres Show.” With a lifelong interest in comedy, improv and performance, Eric has studied with some of the top mind readers in the world as well as at Second City and Improv Boston. Since “America’s Got Talent,” he has performed at The Palazzo and Tropicana hotels in Las Vegas and has appeared in Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone and even The National Enquirer.
