Eclipse Float on the Great Miami
Come experience the solar eclipse out on the Great Miami River as Adventures on the Great Miami hosts the Eclipse Float on Monday, August 21.
“We’re close to the areas that are going to see a total eclipse, so this will be a real once in a lifetime opportunity” Chris Jackson, owner of Adventures on the Great Miami said. “Getting out on the river is a great way to experience it too.”
The Eclipse Float up river transport will leave Adventures on the Great Miami at 12:30pm.
“We’re planning to get out on the river at 1pm, when the eclipse starts, and the eclipse will reach its peak at around 2:30,” Jackson said. “Trips normally take around 3 hours depending on how leisurely you take it so that will give you a few hours to paddle, float and enjoy the entire eclipse.
As with all river trips at Adventures on the Great Miami, paddlers are invited to rent from the livery’s canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, rafts, or tubes, and transportation services are available for those with their own watercraft.
For those interested, the Eclipse Float will be held on August 21 with the bus leaving the property at 12:30pm. Trips costs $25 per person for canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and raft, $15 for tubes, and $15 per person for personal watercraft transport. There is no pre-registration so it is a first come first serve bases.
Reservations are accepted for groups of 20 or more (with group discounts available) at support@greatmiami.net
