City of Dayton Fireworks at Dayton's Kettering Field - July 3
Celebrate Independence Day in Dayton!
There will not be a street festival at Riverscape in Dayton for 2024, but the annual "Lights in Flight fireworks are scheduled for July 3 at Kettering Field
Lights in Flight, the Dayton region's most spectacular fireworks display, returns to Dayton on Wednesday, July 3.
The annual fireworks show produced by the City of Dayton Department of Recreation will take place at Kettering Field, just north of downtown Dayton in the McCook Field neighborhood.
Fireworks will take flight on July 3 at 10 p.m.
A viewing area will be available at the northern and eastern sections of Kettering Field. Bring chairs or blankets for seating. (There will not be a festival before the fireworks display--no food trucks or vendors.) Parking in the area will be limited; it is suggested visitors arrive early.

The following streets will be closed to vehicle traffic beginning at 6 p.m.
- Riverside Drive from White Allen Avenue to East Helena Street - pedestrians only (no pedestrian access from I-75 to Hershey Street)
- East Helena Street from Riverside Drive to Keowee Street - pedestrians only
- Brennan Drive from East Helena Street to Keowee Street - pedestrians only
- North Bend Boulevard. from East Helena Street to Webster Street (including Deeds Park Drive) - Closed to vehicles & pedestrians at 3 p.m.
- Hall Ave. south of N. Keowee.
Recreation trails in nearby parks and along river corridors will be closed to users by 3 p.m. The Great Miami River will be closed to boaters and paddlers in nearby areas.
