C-47 Fly-in at the Air Force Museum July 28
"That's All Brother" will fly into the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force the afternoon of July 28 and be on display for public viewing 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. July 29 - 31.
Brought to us by the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Central Texas Wing, museum visitors will have the opportunity to get an up close look at this Douglass C-47 Skytrain that led over 800 aircraft in the main airborne invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944, dropping over 13,000 paratroopers into battle and changing the course of history.
"That's All Brother" also flew in Operations Dragoon, Market Garden, Repulse, and Varsity. This aircraft has been restored to its D-Day paint scheme and has a historic interior restoration.
Landing is anticipated to be on Wright Field behind the museum during the afternoon of July 28. Stay tuned to our Facebook page and website for upcoming details on its arrival time.
This event is free and open to the public.
