Artist Erica Arndts: Opening Reception
Erica Arndts is an artist and muralist who's paintings and murals can be seen all over the world.
"Providing a visual diary of my personal journey through life, inspirations, and influences is my mission behind my art. My art is meant to tell a story of the good, bad, and the ugly issues and that matter most to me." - Erica Arndts
Originally from Dayton, OH, Erica's career has expanded from the U.S. to Mexico, Italy, and France. She began her higher education studying Fine Art and Fashion Design at the University of Cincinnati, OH before transitioning to Los Angeles and attending the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), studying Apparel Manufacturing Management. After a 3 year career as a fashion designer in Los Angeles, Erica decided to go back to her first love of painting and pour everything into living the life of a painter.
More recently, uprooting herself from the U.S. a year and half ago, Erica drove down to Tulum, Mexico, creating murals and
paintings while immersing herself in the Mayan culture. Her mission was to give them a voice and paint murals depicting these gracious families, as well as, painting images to bring awareness to deforestation.
Of late, Erica's journey led her to Italy and France, painting murals and creating paintings for Memorie Urbane in Italy and Street Art City in France.
Erica's show at the Edward A. Dixon Gallery will be her first featuring her beautiful Native American series of portraits. A limited number of Erica's Pop Art will be available as well.
The Opening Reception will happen August 9th from 5:30pm-8:30pm with remarks from Erica at 7pm.
