Celebrate Dayton’s rich collection of visual and performing arts at Art in the City across downtown
Art in the City returns for its eighth year on Saturday, August 3
The signature event of the AES Ohio Summer in the City program, Art in the City, returns to downtown on Saturday, August 3. Artists and performers of all kinds will be sharing their talent on stages and sidewalks throughout Art in the City. Stages operating throughout the event footprint will feature music, spoken word, dance, theatre, and more. Street performances and other activities are planned between each stage and active area so visitors can easily follow the entertainment from one of the following art hubs to another.
With more than 300 local artists expected to share their talents, more than 30 hands-on activities and demonstrations, and more than 100 live performances, Art in the City has something for guests of all ages and around every corner of downtown Dayton
“The arts are a crucial piece of our downtown and Art in the City is a way for us to come together to celebrate the local artists, creatives, and art lovers who help keep our arts community thriving,” said Katie Meyer, president of the Downtown Dayton Partnership. “There really is something for art enjoyers of all kinds at this event, and we hope it may even light the spark for the future artists who will continue to share their creativity downtown.”
