2023 Gem City Roller Derby Exhibition Scrimmage

Gem City Roller Derby is ready to kick off the 2023 season! Watch two teams made up of skating athletes from our local Dayton league (both brand-new and veteran skaters). Join us as they face off in this exhibition flat-track roller derby scrimmage.

Doors will open at 10:45 AM. First whistle at 11:00 AM. The game will include two 30-minute halves and a 10-minute halftime. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased ahead of time.  Tickets can also be purchased in-person at the door!

Procedures for Health and Safety:
! The venue is NOT open to the public/non-league members prior to the "Doors" time. If you are not staffing or playing in this scrimmage, do not attempt to enter sooner than instructed.

All funds raised go directly toward supporting the league and the local community. Dayton’s roller derby league is one of the top-ranked teams in the world.

 

Roller derby is a full-contact sport played by two teams of five players on a flat track. Each team has a “jammer” who scores points by lapping the other team’s players. The team with the most points at the end of the bout is the winner. Roller derby is a fast-paced, hard-hitting, and in-your-face game that is unique in that it is one of few contact sports dominated by women. We hope you join us for this exhibition scrimmage.
