Pysanky Egg Dying w/ Katie
Join Katie to make your own traditional pysanky egg or two. This iterative, creative process involves applying wax and dyes to a hollow egg to create beautiful patterns. We'll discuss some of the history and oral mythology of pysanky eggs, and how by "writing" the pysanky eggs we are warding off evil in the world.
Things to know:
-Wear clothes that may get dye on them
-Bring pattern ideas or come ready to create your own
-Leave with 1-2 pysanky eggs
-No previous experience required
-All supplies will be provided
