Dayton's original Party in the Park has been canceled for 2020
Fleurs de Fête - the "Wine & Gourmet Food Festival" at Carillon Park planned for May 17 has been canceled due to coronavirus. Known as the original outdoor "Party in the Park," Dayton’s oldest and largest wine-themed festival features more than 400 different wines and gourmet dishes from local restaurants. This year's event would have been the 29th year for the festival.
A statement posted on their website today read as follows:
"Dayton History has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Fleurs de Fête, originally scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 17. We are taking this action to limit public interaction and the spread of COVID-19 in our community. We are thankful for everyone who has supported this event over the past 28 years, including the locally owned and operated restaurants that have partnered with us and our generous sponsors and supporters. We are looking forward to resuming the original “Party in the Park” in 2021 and hope to see you there."
