For over 70 years Fairborn has celebrated our nation’s independence in full fare. Now the two-day event has grown to attract thousands of visitors each year. Through the years it has been the dedicated efforts of civic groups and citizens that has allowed the festival to evolve into a fantastic block party, parade and fireworks display.
We are all aware of the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, therefore in light of the continued restrictions from the State of Ohio regarding social distancing and limitations with mass gatherings, the Fairborn City Administration and the Fourth of July Festival Committee have decided to cancel the 2020 July 3rd Block Party and July 4th Parade and Fireworks Display.
We were looking forward to celebrating America’s Independence with the entire community, but our primary concern continues to be the health, safety, and welfare of our residents, employees, and visitors.
We want to send a special thank-you to all our faithful sponsors, musicians, vendors, local business community, residents, and volunteers who make the block party, parade, and fireworks a success year after year.
City of Fairborn residents are encouraged to stay informed about COVID-19 prevention, measures, symptoms, and treatment by reading through the State of Ohio’s COVID-19 website: coronavirus.ohio.gov and following the various health departments such as Greene County Public Health, Ohio Department of Health, CDC, and World Health Organization.
On behalf of the Fairborn City Administration and Fairborn Fourth of July Festival Committee, please stay safe, and God Bless America!
