The 2020 Mum Festival in Tipp City canceled
The Tipp City Mum Festival has been canceled due to concerns over social distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2020 Mum Festival in Tipp City canceled
For the first time in 60 years, the Tipp City Mum Festival, originally scheduled for September 25-27 has been canceled. The Tipp City Mum Festival board and committee announced their decision to cancel the 2020 festival via social media.
The statement read in part:
"After reaching out to our local health department on what the requirements would be, we have made the heartbreaking decision to cancel the Mum Festival in September. The social distancing guidelines due to COVID-19 would be too great for the committee to enforce, and the health of our community is our number one priority."
The cruise-in, parade, and 5K Run have also been canceled. The festival is expected to return in 2021.
