The first annual ArtFest by Infusion Art was a huge success
Co-chairs, Tabitha Guidone and Danielle Deramo put together an awesome team and appreciate everyone who sponsored and/or volunteered to make the inaugural event a success.

Tim O’Meara and Alan Eakle created a large ArtFest sand sculpture to welcome everyone and invited us to create our own works of art in a nearby pile of sand. Knowing we’d work up an appetite several food vendors were on hand, including the popular Zombie Dogz, Kona Ice, and Harvest.
Performances from the Zoot Theatre Company, Todd the Fox, and several others delighted the crowd. Young dancers from Funk Lab Dance Troupe performed to spoken word pieces intertwined with music to create statements about the world we live in. Tiffany from Mural Machine even painted a live model during the event.
Guests had the opportunity to experience, appreciate, and be inspired by each participant’s creativity. There were also opportunities to participate in the Beavercreek Girl Scouts Unity Project, learn about Owen’s Place - a universally accessible playground, and a chance to view works by Beavercreek High School students.
Featured Artist, Lisa Haapapuro debuted her newest project “We Wish You Well” at ArtFest. Hundreds of people helped make healing mandalas out of glass donated by K12 Gallery/TEJAS. The wishes (mandalas) will be given to Children’s Hospital.
Congratulations to:
Best Booth winner: Tindle Bears by Karen Knapp. Her one of a kind teddy bear and puppet creations are amazing. Some even include movable eyes.
Best Experience Winner: Lockwood Creation Studio, accepted by Heather Collins. The opportunity to create beaded bubble wands in any shape we wanted thrilled the child in each of us.
Honorable Mention: Bags, Rags, and Brooms by retired Beavercreek art teacher Delora Buford-Buchannan. The booth was filled with unique sculptures, jewelry, rugs, and more. Her daughters are also talented artists and contributed unique pieces to the booth. Watching Miss Buchanan create a turtle from 3 small paper bags held the attention of children and adults alike!
See you at ArtFest 2017.
